Apple to make GarageBand for Text Books

The Apple rumor mill is grinding to a halt as more info leaks on the event this week in NYC. Fanboys worldwide are losing interest as loose talk zeros in on the presentation being about educational publishing. Certainly not as sexy as the next iPhone or tablet … or is it. Imagine if Apple were to bring rapid sweeping change to education at the level (and speed) they did to the stagnant mobile phone market and the until-Apple-showed-up-nonexistant tablet market.

Tools enable change in technology and society. If Apple does announce a super-easy to use digital text book creation tool – a “Garage Band for text books” – we can thank (among many others including Mr. Jobs) Roger Rosner (shown above), Apple’s vice president for productivity applications and one of the lead creatives on the iWork software team.

All will be revealed on Thursday.

Product Designer of Beckinfield – Mass Participation TV, co-founder of Theatrics.com, and president of Tracy Evans Productions, Inc., Tracy has been a stage magician, graphic designer, art director animator, programmer, web designer, video director, editor, producer, communication consultant and speaker, and will probably do something else tomorrow.

Got something to say? Go for it!
