I sent mine in early as well, but have yet to receive any notice of its arrival. I will be disapponted to receive a 6th gen, but others may not be.

I sent my 1st Gen Nano in very promptly, and I just got notice back today that they are shipping my replacement back to me. The email notice I got gave me the serial number of my old and replacement Nanos. When I plugged the serial number of the replacement into the Apple support site, it came back as being a 6th Gen Nano.
